Beautiful And Rare

Beautiful and Rare

When first I chanced upon his face
So beautiful and rare
My heart was left to longing deep
For I had love to share

But knew I well, he was above
All that I'd come to be
And so in haste I turned away
To hide my misery

For who would want a heart that wore
The scars of yesterday
That loved and lost and bled with grief
With each and ev'ry sway

It would take one who understood
One beautiful and rare
Was then I stopped and turned around
And found him waiting there.

  • BRIAN & ANGELA

Ohhhhhh DEE ~ Love all you poems they are so so fragrant. Love the silhouette just like you ~ Beautiful & Rare ! All you poems bring tears to my eyes (real Men do cry) and for this one "Tears of Joy". Your poetic fragrance fills MPS with Love & Peace. Four perfect quatrains balanced in rhyme (xaxa xbxb etc) and rhythm. True love (as you know Dee) looks into our eyes and sees beyond the scars of the past and sees only the beauty and promise of the "Pure Love you have to share". Another perfect poem ~ from a beautiful Lady ~ Love BRIAN

Thank you so much Brian for your wonderful review and kind words.. Tears are good, I weep at the sad, the beautiful, the innocent, love and loss, but never as much as I do to know someone has harmed a child.. I love how you understand my works ..Thank you again Brian for the gift of such a wonderful review....All blessings to you my friend......Dee
