"The Poet and the King"

“The Poet and the King”

There once was a King, who lived in a castle, in a Kingdom of his own.
He had everything, royalty could bring, except; he was alone.
Since love wasn’t there, his castle was bare, just a building made out of stone.

He would often daydream, of finding a Queen, a Princess to share the throne.
Oh, and wouldn’t you know it! He sent for his poet, and commanded he wanted a poem.
Well the poet came in, with the poem and a grin, and bowed down before the throne.

This poem will inspire, the one you desire, Sire, said the poet to the king.
Rise up from the floor, the King said with a roar, and recite me the poem you bring.
Well, when the poet did rise, the King was surprised, the most beautiful women stood there.

The King praised GOD above, then, they fell in love, and lived happily ever after.

post scrip;
When you look in their eyes, don’t be surprised, for the whole world is looking for love!

Why did he praise God and not the Poet?
And who fell for whom? Is this King a Sultan?!Too many brides...👩👧💁👵👧👩💁

            Good Morning my dear Lysistrata,

I don't know the answers to your questions, your guess is as good as mine. Maybe
he praised god for the gift of love, they both fell, not a sultan just a man lucky enough to find love.
this is about the art of poetry, structure, flow, rhyme, story, I never consider reason? you pose some interesting thoughts, as usual. Thank you for reading this and commenting. Have a good day
            my dear poet! peace ww
