Happiness is hard to find
People don't treat others right
Trust is difficult to have
How do you know if one is worthy
No one knows the meaning of love
They throw the word around carelessly
Breaking hearts there and here
Tears fall onto the cases of pillows
Eyes blood shot
Take a shower
Drown the pain
Strangle the suffering
Breathe baby girl
Everything will be okay soon
You'll see
One day you'll look back and laugh
Think about how much it wasn't worth your precious tears
Everything happens for a reason
There are so many things to be happy about
So breathe baby girl
Everything will be okay

WELCOME DLR ~ Thanks for a very challenging first poem ! Happiness ~ Trust ~ Love these are the thing we crave ~ especially when we are young! Love your antidote "Take a Shower" (preferably a cold one) "Breath baby girl". In my experience "deep breaths" can dry a lot of tears ! I share the optimism in your final stanza and it is reflected in my "Poem for Today" "Wake up & Shake up".
