Daddy I feel your loss everyday,
Why did you live your life the way you did and leave me this way?
Father's day celebrations do not feel the same,
I am the only one who still calls out your name,
Daddy I do not remember your face,
Daddy I do not remember your hugs or warm embrace,
Daddy was I your princess,were you proud of me?
Daddy did you already have expectations of who you wanted me to be?
Daddy I am feeling your memory slowly fade away,
So I go thru old pictures to keep the pain away,
Daddy how about now do I make you proud?
Can you see me where you are and say my name out loud?
Are you with me thru every day obstacles keeping me safe?
Will we see eachother again someday at Heavens gate?
These are all questions that thru my mind,
Because I am the one that you left behind.

Thanks NICOLE ~ FOR A BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED POEM ~ with such a sad sad content. Because I am a Christian I have confidence that I will meet my loved ones again in Heaven ~ especially those that died young or died when I was young. I still have my Dad & Mum so I know how sad you must feel about losing your Dad so young. Thanks for sharing ~ Every Blessing BRIAN
Father is not the one who creates you,but the one who raises you.
Kids shouldn't live with a memory of the past,
but move on and discover the beauty of life with a real one (parent).
But I sympathize;maybe you don't have a strong mother....💚
