How ever bad things may appear
How ever sad as the end draws near
Elections ~ directions that may not suit ya
Remember we all have a FUTURE !
For those of us who are under 40
We're not just sitting on our high horse ~ haughty
Even we have fears and tears
How will things be for the next 40 Years ?
This old World is pulled apart by forces
That thwart the ambitions of our courses
Let's never flinch we have much to offer
ALWAYS optimistic ~ NEVER be a scoffer
So face the future with head held high
See the rainbow in a brightening sky
It is our right to reason why
To walk ~ to run ~ to jump ~ then FLY !
Things come ~ things go like Presidents & Kings
Who knows what's round the corner ~ what tomorrow brings ?
Things happenin' today ~ they may not suit ya
Please ~ please remember we all have a FUTURE !
Look left ~ look right but please ~ never take fright Sir
Look up ~ thank God for what you have that's right Sir
Look round ~ we're all secure on solid ground
Let's show ~ we know ~ The Future's BRIGHTER !

Well of course WW ~ every one ~ even the over 40's have a future. When one looks at the Prophets of Doom 2050 (when i will be a mere 67) is forecast tio be much worse than it is now ! 10 billion humans and less arable land ~ air pollution ~ land and water pollution and global Civil War ! Most people now 60+ will 94 or dead. Babies born this week (I don't have any ?) will still be alive in 2100 and God alone knows what state the planet will be in then. We all have a responsibility to be more Green and protect the environment ! If we don't it will be my generation (and the next) who will reap the whirlwinds in 2050 ~ 2075 ~ 2100 (when i will be 117 !). With a little help for each other the future can be a lot BRIGHTER than that predicted by the Prophets of Doom ~ even in 2100 ~ AMEN Yours BRIAN
