Corazon

willyweed

The coming day;

pushes the blue sky west over the dark valley, beyond the mountains crest

I left her down in Corazon

without forgiveness in the night

She was searching for the grace of God

She was looking for the light

I saw the devil dancing

Wringing up his hands

Conjuring his demons and

Rolling out his plans

The coming night;

pulls the blue sky west over the dark valley, beyond the mountains crest

I left her down in Corazon

Where her heart was lead astray

She never found forgiveness

And the devil had his way

I saw an angel crying

Falling from the sky

She said that she was sorry

She couldn't learn fly

The coming silence;

brings the blue sky to rest over the dark valley, beyond the mountains crest

  • Comment from author about the poem: Corazon is a volcano in S. America and it is the word heart in the Spanish language, for me this relates to the heartbreak of drugs, addiction, and overdosed death.

    MUERTE EN CARAZON ~ A beautifully crafted tone poem of life and love. Drugs and those who traffic in them are the Devil's curse on Society. I worked with the YMCA with Young Adults and I never yet met a hard drug addict over 40 they were all DEAD. When will we ever learn. Gracias por tu preocupacion ~ Tu Amigo BRIAN

                There's beauty in everything πŸ˜‰

                • willyweed

                  yes there is always beauty, it's just that some people are blind to it.
                  he one just for you!

                  In a dream I met my love
                  ye lords and ladies fair
                  minstrels strummed a melody
                  music floated on the air
                  a jested juggled flaming pins
                  while dancing with a bear
                  handmaidens serving bread and wine
                  the night was ever clear
                  I gazed across the fire light
                  her beauty beyond compare
                  then I awoke from in the dream
                  and found her sleeping there

                      i found this showed how sadly beautifully vunerable the human soul is in the search for the answers of life.not all for the best.
                      strong words indeed.
                      thanks
