Past Her Limit

Izzi Lynn

She’s been pushed past her limit
Her body aches from the sobbing
She can’t breathe
Her head is throbbing
She’s panicking

She uses the broken pieces of her childhood
To rip open her wrist
And when she opens up her skin
All the pain flows out
The cuts sting and burn
But they’re nothing compared to how her head pounded
How her eyes burned
How her stomach ached and rolled
And now she can breathe again

She hates herself
She hates herself
She hates herself

Thank you! I was contemplating what poem to post today when I happened upon this one. I wrote it three days ago and I hadn't thought about posting it until now. I'm glad you liked it.

Thanks SILVER ~ What you describe is true for all of us ~ M & F ~ because we all have limits ! Modern life often pushes us over them. M & F react in different ways ! In my experience as a Student Councillor ~ Females often self-harm. So do Males but more sacrificially by driving when drunk or stoned or jumping off railway bridges or buildings ! Thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN
