"The Darkness"

TheUnspokenPoet

What lies in mystery to us all.

Locked away behind a door.

Yet we seek the answers to feel completed.

This door of darkness may lead us to our monsters, or just our demons we hide from within.

Stories be told it's something to fear, but really can change on how you perceive it.

There's always beauty in the darkness, so no longer let yourself be afraid.

And see the truth before your very eyes

WELCOME TUP ~ Thanks for a challenging first poem. We humans have a genetic "fear of the dark" and yet many animals are happily nocturnal. I agree with your sentiments and when I have launched out into the darkness I have found the fears vanish and the demons ephemeral. Thanks for sharing # BRIAN
