Like the Rainbow after the storm hits
Looking at her
My heart falling off a cliff
Is this love
what songs speak of
the idea that lingers in our dreams
she’s my angel from above
I wish this poem could be about you
My little angry shrew
Forbidden love
Stuck with you my life’s askew
She makes my heart race
Faster than any chase
The beauty in her life
Such perfection and grace
One life goal
Pledge to you my soul
Ignite my cold heart
Like fire to a coal
Alas, chance has passed
Distance stands between paths
Wish it couldn’t stand in way
In your hands; my hearts your clay
Years went by; was afraid
Rejection to set friendship astray
Wish I made the move when could
Left here now just a would
Life’s become sad
Deal signed in iron clad
Wish a perfect world exists
No reason to persist
Wish this love could pass
Be loyal to my lass
This came first
It’s here to last

The content of your LOVE poem ~ seems to be between the enigma of the "Love you have" and the "Love you wish you had had" !
