I wait for the phantom matron,my one true amore
The love I had for her was that of an old forgotten lore
Illusions of my past wander in my lucidity
The dim moon light enlightened our bridge of Lustful Amity,
Through grassy plains she looms out of the mists
The matrons olive skin and chestnut lock solidifies our trysts,
Her frame, shares the marble depictions of ancient greek goddesses
Her eyes pierce me, like a hunting tigress
Inching at her prey as to not startle it
I focus, so this moment in time freezes and stays with me for life
She reaches my luflic embrace, holding her finally, I wish never to quit
She angelically gazes upon me and ushers her words into my ear “ take me,love me, be mine and give me no strife ”
My voice gave no sound just, nerve and love clashing in my thoughts
But why do i hesitate?
just then she disappears as quickly as I fabricated those words and connected the dots
and this is my reliving nightmare and torture for hesitating to my first love
but i was prepared to leave this torture one final shove
atop of our bridge I plunge, into its dark waters of hell as sir Dante wrote
Despedida my lovely Sabrina let my love for you be note.

WELCOME JD ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ part fantasy ~ part lustful amity. Love the form of the poem flowing rhyming couplets (love them) and a sprinkling of Shakespearean English sent me back to School ! Lore ~ lock ~ tryst ~ luflic (loving) ~ ushers ~ atop ~ and Spanish ~ despedida (farewell). A great piece of writing in the classic mode ! Love the story ~ thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN
