O ur increasingly hedonistic society ! How do we
U sually ensure we are neat and presentable and
R eally looking our best? We look in the mirror !
R eflection in the mirror ~ what do we acctually
E xpect to see ~ what does the mirror show? A
F alse image ~ a mirror image where right is left
L eft is right. This is why we will sometimes ...
E xpress surprise when first we see our photo
C ertainly because we don't see ourselves as others see us
T he way we really look and not an inverted mirror image !
I don't worry because I'm symmetrical ~ just want to check I'm
O K to face the World? If my mirror say I'm presentable
N obody will misjudge the reality over my Mirror Image !

- Comment from author about the poem: Most people's faces are unsymmetrical ~ some very much so ! Cut two copies of a facial photo in half and join the two halves RR and LL together and you will see they are very different. One looks like your Mum and the other like your Dad (or the milkman !) ~ amazing ! This is why what we see in the mirror is not what others see or the camera ! Because I'm a male it doesn't worry me also my face is fairly symmetrical ! Despite the mirror image being an inversion we all rely on it ! To see what you really look like to others Dresser Mirrors give you the opportunity to see yourself reflected in a mirror ~ that is how I (and others !) see you OK ! Love BRIAN XOX

I totally agree with Tony..
Now a days I tend to look at the mirror to empower myself using positive mantras about my less fond features and it's helped me a lot to becoming more authentic..
I appreciate the meat vehicle that houses my soul.. 😊
