When Ever I Think of You

rrodriguez

What do I see?

I see a hibiscus tree,

with beautiful pink flowers in bloom.

What do I hear?

I hear the sound of your voice,

like a slight rustle between the trees.

What do I smell?

I smell the scent of your body,

like the soft aroma of white Lilacs in a field.

What do I touch?

I touch your soft skin,

like delicate cotton puffs.

What do I taste?

I can taste a cup of coffee,

as I write this words thinking of you.

WELCOME RR ~ Thanks for a very elegantly written love poem. And what of the subject? ~ recollection. Every sense is invoked ~ Sight - pink hibiscus ~ Sound - rustle of leaves ~ Scent - field lilac ~ Sensuality - puffs of cotton ~ Savour - coffee. All these senses aroused by a single thought ! Perfect poem ~ thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN
