Fire

serendipity

Like fire, inflaming inside the strings to my heart

It burns the normality, and instead replaces it with questions

Like fire, inside a forest, it becomes outrageously out of ones control, a forest fire

My body is the forest, my worry is the fire

A continuously burning flame, courses through me

It hits my brain powerfully, painfully

The stages of non-better get worse

More and more fire

The heat from the flames erode inside and travel to the skin

Sweat from all the worry, sweat from all the fire's heat

The voice of the body tells words to another who doesn't understand the fire

The words are let out, and tears fall, extinguishing the fire

Fire's out, it's calm, but it will be back again

WELCOME SERENDIPITY ~ Thanks for a well penned and very powerful first poem. The subject of our inner FIRE is an excellent one and very very poetic. I have learned that Life & Love is a "raging fire which reignites as quick as we try to quench it ! We can get a moments relief from cathartic words and tears ~ but it always return again ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN
