Katharina IIII ( the end)

The events at the Ballet had stunted St. Petersburg and the whole of Russia in general and the Czar himself in particular, he felt genuine fear and wanted the matter swept away as soon as possible. As a result of that the three grenadiers were tried and convicted and sentenced to hang all within three weeks’ time. The Czar also demanded
that the Royal Ballet be returned to its original splendor as soon as possible. He also called the captain of the guard for a private appointment. And after the captain finished telling the Czar that yes it did appear that legions from hell ravished the ballet hall and kidnapped the ballerina Katharina and dragged her back to the very gates of hell the Czar simply said thank you captain you are dismissed. He was murdered and buried before he left the palace grounds. The condemned men could only sit and wait for their execution date which was fast approaching. Igor sat contemplating his fate with a feeling of abandoning his wife and un-born child. He buried his face and wept.

” You know there are ways.” At first, the grenadier thought it was a voice in his head, until he felt the shadowy figure looming in the dark corner of the dungeon cell. It almost just appeared as a black spot, some sort of hideous stain on the cell’s already dark and gloomy atmosphere. Slowly it took on a more defining shape, and assaulted his senses. His eyes started to burn and tear, his nose was running, and the taste in his mouth, tasted as if he just ate a shit sandwich. The stench was so foul as to almost be un-bearable. His ears were buzzing, and he was frozen/ paralyzed, he just could not move.
.
When the metamorphism was completed, a man stepped from the shadows and lit a cigarette. Something washed over the Igor and immediately he felt normal again. The man looked familiar it was the captain of the guard he even had his uniform on. He stood in the center of the cell, and unrolled a scroll.

Let us get right down to business shall we? My master would like to make a deal with you, and has taken the liberty of drawing up the paperwork. It is just the standard contract form. For; and in consideration of the soul of the firstborn child… (pay-able in one lump sum, exactly 20 years from the contract date). blah, blah, blah, the party of the second part shall provide resurrection to the reputation and well being of the party of the first part.., this contract shall be binding, and un-revocable, blah, blah, blah, my client would also like you to know, that he has become aware (through sources that shall remain discrete) that the soul in question is that of an Opera star, and throughout the course of this contract he shall provide all required to see him fulfill his dream. Further-more this contract must be executed forthwith or become null and void.

If you would be so kind, as to sign the document, I will be on my way. The captain said your thumbprint in blood is required. Without realizing how, Igor saw his thumb was bleeding. As soon as his thumb touched the scroll, his senses where invaded again, with the same foulness as before. The captain re-rolled the scroll and slipped it into his pocket, Igor, heard the captain chuckle as he stepped back into the shadows, he lit another cigarette and said thank you…oh and welcome to Hell then he was gone, along with the horrible stench and foulness. Only dread remained.

On the day of the executions Satan himself was in attendance in the guise of the hangman. He told them both he would harvest their souls and they would
spend eternity as his guests in the fires of Hell! Igor received a last minute pardon by order of the Czar. Katharina Supreme Ballerina would dance the Royal ballet in hell, as she still does today. In Mother Russia, skies are cold and somber in winter.
Sometimes you can glean her spirit dancing in the night sky and taste her tears on the falling Russian snow.

The ballerina’s cold, the sky is lonely
Life whirls around but we know it’s only for a little while

Ahhhh WILLY ~ The power and force of Russian Fantasy. As soon as I stepped off the Liner in St Petersburg I was hypnotised and for two days I moved in a Fantasy World. We Socialists always say "Next year Mother Russia" and now at last i was in her bosom ~ Land of Fantasy and (as yet) undreamed dreams. Russia's history is etched in blood in the "Gardens of Good & Evil". Is selling the soul of one's infant child to Satan a fair price in exchange for ones freedom from immanent execution ? In your fantasy it would seem so ! Thanks BRIAN
