Learn to Smile

thatsilentgirl

Sun up,

Sun down,

Some days,

Some nights,

Some laugh,

Some love,

Some cry,

Some die,

Some learn,

Then wonder why.

Some choose,

To fight,

Some scream in the night,

And before the sun light

They wonder why.

Some live,

Some pray,

Someone,

Somewhere,

Somehow,

Some day is going to pay.

Some times,

I scream,

But you smIle,

And just for awhile

I wonder,

Maybe there's a life with no pain.

Maybe there's someone better,

Or maybe worse,

Maybe I should just hope for a better universe.

But what should I matter,

How should I care?

Maybe this time I'll be there.

Wish that the one thing that hurt the most would go away.

Wish that I could save the tears for another day.

But am I right?

Did I suffer too much?

What have you been through?

Am I a quitter?

Am I a loser?

Am I just someone hiding from an accuser?

Am scarred?

Or did I just get played?

Are you the one who should be getting paid?

Maybe  in my pain,

And all the vain,

I'll learn to smile

Like you.

WELCOME FAE ~ Yes I read all you wrote ~ with my own two eyes ~ and enjoyed it. I love ANIME too ~ you could have added an Anime Girl or Boy to your first poem. Loved the elegant structure of your poem the pulsating rhyme and rhythm which gave it great FLOW ~ Lovely to read ~ powerful to recite a real poem. Loved the subject "Learning to smile through pain" an important lesson for each of us in all ages and stages of our lives. We should all count our Blessings then we would smile more and grumble less. If all Teenagers had your philosophy our Schools and Colleges (I work in a College) would be much much happier. Thanks for caring and sharing ~ more please ~ BRIAN
