"born" ( ten feet from the grave)

willyweed

“Born” (ten feet from the grave) into a life that can’t be saved

Just a plunge in space & time and suddenly the number’s – nine

Babies love to learn & grew we must teach them all that we may know

When we are young this life is great but now the measurement is - eight

Now it’s time to go to school to learn all about the golden rules

All good children go to heaven and the number turns to - seven

Congratulations! High School grad! Look how happy you made mom & dad

Go to college and get your kicks for the number now is- six

Degree in hand and you survived not as hard as you surmised

Oh yes it’s great to be alive and the number’s down to- five

Find a mate and fall in love they are all you’re dreaming of

Love has you floating off the floor but now we’re down to number-four

Wedding bells begin to chime a love to last throughout all time

Time for love and family and the number now is only –three

Scrimp and save for forty years through the laughter and the tears

Regrets I guess we’ll have a few when the number is down to –two

Retirement comes the work is done relax now and have some fun

Laying in the tropical sun and then the number turns to –one

Now it’s time to rest the soul standing at the open hole

In this life you did well- suddenly you fell…

Say goodnight- and travel well!
