Thanks JSG ~ for a nicely structured poem ~ love rhyming couplets. The subject exposes the Patriarchal Societies in which most of us live ! In the UK we have a Queen (64 years) and now a Female Prime Minister. However Females still earn less than Males for a similar job and most top jobs are influenced by Old Boy networks and not Old Girls. In a sense because biologically Ladies have to carry (for 9 critical months) the next generation ~ which Men order ~ their career paths are interrupted if they (and their partner) want to start a Family. Alas we live in a very unequal World. I for one support Ladies and always appoint them of they are the most appropriate candidate. Females make up more than 50% of the population and this should be reflected in Society ~ Yours BRIAN.
Thanks for the feedback Brian, nepotism does play a huge role in today's society and since those in power are generally men as you say, woman are unfairly represented. JSG
