AUTUMN LEAVES ~ A FLOW POEM

BRIAN & ANGELA

AUTUMN ~ Of all the Seasons I love Autumn best

Best because of all ~ all the Autumn colors

Colours direct from Mother Nature's palette.

Palette of red orange yellow green and mauve.

Mauve leaves are rare but when you find one

One that flutters to your feet as you swish ~ swish

Swish like a child through the the fallen leaves

Leaves you breathless with wonderment and awe.

Awe because of the blessings of God's creation

Creation that turned the shedding of leaves

Leaves falling as the pigments change from green

Green to all the colours of the rainbow and GOLD !

Gold reminds us that the process is more than botany

Botany enables us to understand  the plethora of colour

Colour we all enjoy ~ but the Glory belongs to GOD

GOD who in His wisdom decided to give colour to AUTUMN !

Thanks for reading ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN  XOX

In a FLOW POEM ~ each new line must begin with the last word

in the preceding line etc etc !  The last word in the poem must

be the same as the first word this completes the FLOW ~ OK

FLOW POEMS are fun to recite but you must empathise the first

and last word of each line to maintain the flow ~ OK

One of the reasons I love living on a farm, is seeing the trees change color each fall

Thanks TONY ~ You are even nearer to God's heart on a Farm ~ than in a Garden ~ BRIAN

A nice poem. I'd never come across the concept of "Flow poems" before: An interesting idea.

Thanks MICHAEL ~ Your poems are all written in a classical style with rhyme and rhythm ~ this is just one more style ! Not as easy as it looks ! Yours BRIAN

You're not a poet, you're a painter... a painter using the palette of your words to create an image. You've succeed in creating in our minds the beauty of Autumn. I love descriptive poems and this one is on to of the scale. Thanks!

YES RR ~ I love to post a picture with each of my poems. This is a tone poem because it paints a picture and sings a song. I can hear the swish and rustle of the leaves as well as see the colour. All poetry shoould paint a picture ! BRIAN

I know why you're so skillful in your descriptive poems. You visited New England where Robert Frost wrote many of his endearing poems. You've capture his poetic spirit and now it bursts out in multi-chromatic colors which enthralls us and make us be in awe of nature's beauty. Congrats!

NEW ENGLAND is a very special corner of the USA and it is the extent of the views which makes it unique. I agree Robert frost was an inspired and inspiring poet ! BRIAN
