hear my cry
knock, knock, knock
can you hear me out there, I'm trapped in this tiny square.
I feel neglected,
can someone enlighten me as to why,
I'm not respected.
tell me do you hear my cry.
I try to wipe my face dry but my tears flow like rivers so it's not worth the try.
someone come and rescue me,
someone stop my fragile body from trembling,
I'm down here begging you please.
tell me do you hear my cry?
I'm trying to fight this,
my mumma raised a soldier,
not one dayum fool,
I'm trying to fight this,
because this room is wet, mouldy and smells like piss.
I'm tryna fight this, pain I'm feeling
it feels as if I'm internally bleeding.
I'm tired, a bed, pillows and a quilt is required
I'm restless, I'm tired I startingto become breathless.
I'm stressing, does my family know I'm missing?
have they called the police ?
have they started searching ?
nobody understand how much I'm hurting.
The person who done this to me is gunna suffer, when I get my revenge; they are gunna surrender.
YESS! my mumma raised a soldier,
why am I letting this happen to me?
Imma run on the count of three !
one two THREEππΎπ¨
I'm running for my life trying no to make a noise
because I don't want to go back in the gloomy place without me having a choice.
BANG βΌοΈβΌοΈ
I'm out, I'm free, I can finally go home and reunite with my family.

WELCOME YO ~ Thanks for a very moving and graphic first poem. It expresses some of the horrors faced by Militia all over the World ~ dying for cause and country ! It had a ring of truth and my reading of the final five lines is: YES he got his freedom and a family reunion ~ BUT ~ the price he paid was HIS OWN LIFE ! Thanks for caring and sharing ~ BRIAN
Thank you
