Dark days are gone- but not forgotten
I keep them captive- in my mind
With the broken- bits and pieces
Of those dreams – that wouldn’t fly
The days are full- of sunshine
Darkness- fills the night
The devils- in the details
He’s keeping- out of sight
Still the Sun- goes up

The stars all- shine
And the earth- spins round
When will we -ever learn?
When it’s time- to turn

Turn around
The demons- are in the shadows
The angels- are in the light
Redemption’s- in the distance
Salvation- is in sight
And if I should fall-to temptation
Somewhere- in the dark of night
Bless me- with forgiveness
And bath me- in the light
