You spoke about your pain,
Only for selfish gain,
By opening your mind,
To make me run blind,
From what I once knew,
As your deception flew,
In my love as a father,
For you were like a daughter,
Who shun me away,
With a smile of clay,
Cause you’re made of stone,
To be left alone,
When I felt the sting,
Of you under my wing!

WELCOME MHP ~ Thank you for a vet enigmatic first poem ! I'm not a DAD (yet) but some of my students call me DAD because I listen to them. Your poem explores the situation where we reach out to somebody (M or F) and treat them like a Son or Daughter. They accept our support (initially) but then the relationship goes cold. Thanks for caring and sharing ~ BRIAN
