Better Woman

You're just so perfect in my eyes,

You're so smart,

So beautiful,

And right from the start,

You told me to become a better woman.

But how?

I know you're not the best,

But I think I'm lucky to be in your life,

And God's put us to the test,

I proved to be on your side.

You're smile is what always led me back home,

And when I got in,

My hair, you use to comb,

And you taught me everything you know,

When I was just a child,

You use to take me to the park,

And we'd stay for awhile,

When my dad stayed out past dark,

You were always there to comfort me,

Never thought I'd see you cry,

So I'll always comfort you as you can see,

And so I wonder why,

How can I be a better woman?

You may be my mom,

But your my best friend,

And you'll always be,

Until the very end,

You're my role model,

You're my star,

I wish I could buy you a big house,

And a fancy new car,

I love you more than anyone,

And even if It was the end of all,

We'll still laugh and have fun,

And you'll be dragging me to the mall,

All I want Is your approval,

For you to tell me I'm a good girl ,

Even If I know I'm not,

You're like the brightest pearl,

You may not be perfect in their eyes,

But one thing I know Is true,

That you'll always be better than me,

I'm not sure if I'll ever be a better woman than you.
