A Lost Soul, A Lonely Heart

mhpoet

You lit a fire,

With no desire,

To play this song,

That went wrong,

As you sought-after,

Nothing but laughter,

For I’m a lost soul,

Living inside a hole,

Of pain and regret,

As you would forget,

To play the memories,

Of our deformities,

With nothing else to give,

But to simply live,

In a cesspool of lies,

Beneath your pitiful eyes,

That move like a string,

To take everything,

From a lonely heart,

Whose torn apart!
