CATS I HAVE KNOWN ~ AWESOME

TIGGA is a ginger tom ~ the very best of cats
Always up to mischief ~ love curling up in ladies hats !
Why do I call him TIGGA ? Because hes tiger like
Jumps up at the postman and knocks him off his bike !
All the Dogs are scared of him ~ see him and they take flight
But hes a pussy-cat at heart ~ growls worse than his bite
So if you see my TIGGA ~ just give him a great big hug
And he will purr like a ball of fur ~ and snuggle down in his rug

a black cat once came and sat beside me
good morning sir she seemed to purr politely
a lovely day if I must say meowing
she rubbed her head below my chin
purring softly once again
she winked and somehow seemed to smile
she then licked her paw but said no more
she just slowly sashayed away. ww

My MUM had a white cat called SNOWY
He was big - he was smart - he was showy
He chaased away other cats ~ chased away dogs
Frightened the toads and gobbled up frogs
He was soft with my Mum but wild with my Dad
The cat most incongruous ~ weve ever had !
Im not going to cry and I wont make a fuss
But one day he met his match ~ a 20 ton bus
Now Snowy has gone where the good pussies go
OK Ill cry now ~ WE ALL MISS SNOWY SO !

I once had a cat named Smokey
A grey fur ball of fluff
I loved that cat
If pets could be best friends
He was mine

POLLY ~ was a rescue CAT who had been ill-treated
She came to us in a state of fear and behind the settee she retreated
She was scared of humans because of the way
They had mistreated her day after day !
How do you play with a Cat like that ?
We gave her lots of TLC and every day we fed her
A nice clean blanket in a beanbag to bed each night we led her
Gradually week on week she began to love us
Cuddles and tickles (cats love to play) and prayer to the Lord above us
You have to pray for a CAT like that !
CAT RESCUE really were amazed when we took her to their Vet
They said it is a Miracle ~ the best recovery yet !
Now POLLY thrives and loves each one ~ and she is loved by all

Many cats have lived in my barn.
They all seem to have gathered
when I stated this farm
Cats of all colors
Cats of all sizes
Cats of all shapes
All reside together
In that one place
Some quite furry
Some not so much
I love to watch them all
As they run around

I went down the alley it was trash collection day
I saw big old fat alley cat swaggering my way
he stopped right there in front of me I didn't have a clue I thought that I could wait him out and see what he would do.
he slowly pulled his lips back his hair stood up on end. I said hello there kitty do you what to be my friend. He puffed up like a basketball his claws were all popped out. with leaps and bounds
he left the ground and landed on my face. His claws were stuck like glue, imbedded in my face he started to bite me on the head, so I pulled my trusty pistol and I shot him dead.

Growing up on my Grandparent's farm
When I was just a small thing
Two cats I remember
Named
Shoeshine
And No Name
These names picked
For reasons I don't remember
Both were white with brown spots
Then there was a cat named patches
Who got into fights a lot

A CAT has nine lives ~ So they say
Some Cats are so kami-kazi
That they lose all nine in one day
Some drown head first down the khazi !
Thanks to all who put in a verse
To tell us of Cats ~ good and bad
Of the Cats they have had
The good and the bad and ugly and worse !
The Ancient Egyptians ~ thought Cats were Gods
And worshipped our feline friend
But after the plague of the Nile with the frogs
They worshipped JEHOVAH ~ and let Moses go in the end !
I know lots of people who worship their Cats
And let them recline on bespoke feline mats
The give them weird names like Macabees Puss Puss
And 24/7 over their Cats ~ they fuss fuss
So thanks everybody for loving your Cat
And outside your front door write WELCOME CAT on the mat !
