A BALLAD ON FRUIT SALAD ! HAIKU with ATTITUDE

BRIAN & ANGELA

BANANAS are a

curious fruit ~ yellow ~ mellow

wrapped in a banana skin !

 

PEARS are luscious and

always come in pairs ~ two by two

one for me one for you !

 

A KIWI FRUIT  will

never fly ~ but it likes to

squirt you in the eye !

 

I like CHERRY ~ she

likes me ! But my only moan is

is her heart of stone

 

They advocate  ~ just

five a day ~ so PINEAPPLE  !

and I'm on my way !

    I enjoy your haiku with attitude. This is very cute and just the sort of thing I would read to my kindergarten classroom when we have a unit on fruit. We like to use all sorts of media to explore topics--art, poetry, music...

      THANK SANDPIPER ~ HOPE YOU CAN USE THIS POEM IN CLASS ! Poetry and songs are great media for teaching kindergarten kinder. My intellectual age is about 7 which is why I like writing silly poems. Teaching Preteens must be one of the most rewarding and important jobs in the World. When you think of the millions that uninspiring people earn pushing money around. Primary Teachers should be paid £100,000 ($135,000) per year. I hope you are enjoying MPS ! Yours BRIAN

        Well, Brian, I think it's kind of a gift you have. You could definitely publish children's' books if you wanted to, from what I've read. I will definitely save this and tuck it away for classroom use, glad you approve. 🙂
