Candles and wine
Elegant trappings
In regal times
Victorian ladies
And proper gents
Conquering armies
And new governments
Discovering continents
Taming the wild
Adventurous journeys
Generals with style
Setting sail
Leaving home
Into the future
To places unknown
The heroes and villains
The sinners and saints
All for their fortunes
They came to meet fate
History or his-story
The revolution has been won
And the truth we hold self-evident
Must apply to every-one
