A year ago... 

A year ago I wouldn't have believed you if you told me,

I would fall in love again. 

A year ago I wouldn't have believed you if you told me, 

I would do it with a guy. 

A year ago I wouldn't have believed you if you told me, 

I would end up pregnant. 

A year ago I wouldn't have believed you if you told me, 

I would be left abandoned... 

I wouldn't have believed you a year ago. This year I would believe in anything you'll tell me

I would believe you if told me next year, 

I would have other child.

I would believe you if told me next year, 

I would find love again. 

I would believe you if you told me next year, 

I would ended up losing a limp. 

I would believe you if you told me next year, 

I would die. 

A year can be a lifetime with unexpected events.  Unimaginable outcomes. Take each year as it comes because your whole live can happen in a year.

    WELCOME SHARA ~ Tanks for a wonderful first poem # full of angst and action. As you say ~ anything can happen in a Y E A R and often does ! Thanks GOD we live one-day-at-a-time and can't see the future. I like the structure of the poem and the way you have spaced it to give emphasis to each line. We all learn through our own experience. I like the way (through hindsight) you have changed the oft repeated I WOULD NOT BELIEVE (in the first half) into oft repeated I WOULD BELIEVE ~in the second half ! Great poem ~ thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN
