Seeing you happy keeps me going

raysonpoems

Seeing you without me hurts, everyday I sit home waiting for the feeling of being alone.

I see you but you don't see me, I hold it all back and lie to keep you happy.

when you care that much for someone you do what's right to see that smile that made your world turn even if it means making your heart burn.

Time goes on and the day is a new you see me and I see you, although apart you just don't see that seeing you happy makes me complete.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I ended it with my girlfriend and didn't tell her the truth why I became diagnosed with cancer and couldn't put her through more pain as her family went through it so i let her go and saw her move on and let it cripple me inside just so I know she's happy

WELCOME RAYSON ~ Thanks for a lovely video and a very moving poem ! Wherever you are ~ You candle the light on my soul ~ It's all about love ~ Wherever you are ~ Whoever you are ~ It's all about love. These lyrics (and your comment) makes sense of the subject of your poem. Because you are terminally ill ~ you have sacrificed your Love to another ~ BUT ~ seeing her happy makes your happy ~ BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for caring and sharing ~ BRIAN

How would you feel if she was pregnant and decided to have an abortion without telling you?!
She needs to know and make her choices. You need her even as a friend..

I completely agree and I have told her recently I held it for a few months as was trying to let her go but it's impossible and seeing her move on hurts but like the poem states it makes me happy to see she is smiling. I told her the truth and she broke down and asked every question in the book so yes I hope for it all to go well but my only regret is like you say not telling her
