Gethsemane

willyweed

The ability to see the ridiculous is a blast

It provides you with the ability to laugh

Even when clouds of doubt fill the skies

Or when disturbances might arise

You’ll be favored in God’s eyes

For the Master smiled and laughed in his pain

Even on the way to Gethsemane

Betray me on the morrow

Forsake me with the dawn

Kiss me so they know me

Count the silver coin

Forsake me when the cock crows

Betray me with the dawn

Just remember what I told you

I am my Father’s son

HI LYSI ~ LEST is old English meaning "To avoid the risk of .......... !" (Check it on GOOGLE. It is the chorus of a Hymn ~ which begins "King of my Life I Crown Thee now ................. !" Thanks for commenting but I did check it before I posted ~ OK. I always enjoy (spiritually) being led to Calvary. You can check the hymn on YOU TUBE to see how it is pronounced. It could be simply translated as UNLESS or IN CASE ~ OK ~ BRIAN

Thanks LYSI ~ You say color and I say colour ~ you say trunk and I say bonnet ~ your say faucet and I say tap ~ lets call the whole thing off. Spelling is very fluid in these days of texting etc hence DRINKA PINTA MILKA DAY in the adverts. Deliberate "misspelling" in poetry. We went to the CAFF and had a LAFF ~ I felt NAFF ~ so i went home and had a BAFF etc etc. COKING by the way is the habit of always having a COKE with your meal ~ touchee ! The really nice thihg LYSI is the we both care about POETRY and all our Fellow Poets on MPS ~ Yours BRIAN
