Judgement

Jade Sarah Lousie

Judgement!

Yes we all get judged  because we are all not the same,

but I myself  get judged everyday,

not for the style of clothes or having a unique craze, not at all.

I get judged because I was born this way, having a condition,

I or no one else can change, just because you don't see me,

you just see the wheelchair, yes is that why you call me names,

which make me feel so low, personally attacked, stupid, ashamed,

but I don't know why you don't look deeper into my heart and soul,

to see we could be similar in so many ways,

by liking the same TV shows, music, or fashion craze,

Yes I'm different, that will never change, so please,

just accept me and treat me the same!

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem I wrote because I have been bullied before for having a medical condition cerebral palsy, which cannot be changed, I was born this way. I never let this stop me and people close to me treat me just the same as any other person. So I wrote it because I want people's attitudes to change and for people who have any life difficulties or a disability to be treated equally in life and the same as any other person in this world. We are still human with feelings. Stand up to bullies and love, live life to the full... Hope you enjoy the read. :)

you don't judge a book by the cover
and people who do are ignorant and shallow. There is a beautiful soul in all of us, some just can't find it. nice work on this poem. ww

I can empathise JADE ~ we have a GIRL (30) with CP in our extended Family and she has to use a chair and must be accompanied. When she was young Parents of Children she wanted to play with her intervened because they thought it was catching or that Laura was a bad role model for their "normal" children. It is very difficult for her to have friends and having a BF would be difficult. I have worked with students (16+) with specific needs and I know how difficult life is for them ! Every blessing ~ Thanks for caring and sharing ~ BRIAN.

Well that is just horrible to hear, well people's attitude need to change. I hope she finds her happiness and she is amazing women just embrace all this. There is someone out there for everyone I believe. People just need their eyes opening, maybe live in our shoes for a day. I have a good circle of people who love me for me. I hope she has this too. Yes she was a bad role model for "normal children".

Your welcome anything to inspire and help others 🙂
