9 months ago gone

Jade Sarah Lousie

Nine months ago today,

it's just like yesterday since you've been gone,

that's how much it hurts,

even though your now an angel in the sky,

I still want you back to live every day,

just how it used to be,

my best friend my Granddad,

not here was never how it was meant to be.

Nine months ago,

every 21st of every month,

is a remember of you, just like everyday for us,

you were just one of the best, one of the kindest men I knew that's you.

Nine months ago,

you were here with us,

cracking your jokes and being there for us all,

even falling asleep in the chair,

you could fall asleep anywhere,

making memories that will be the best,

all of us having a laugh with you even at you not really I don't think,

that I was proud to call you my Granddad apart of my life,

the puzzle it lasts forever,

we love you and thank you is needed from us all.

Nine months ago today,

all those things we did now memories in my heart,

I carry you everyday the man you are lives in me,

I miss you so much it's hard to believe,

every time I look up to the sky you shinning down on me,

like my favourite butterfly,

I love you now and always,

this is never goodbye to me,

my best friend my hero is you Granddad!

See you in another life <3

Thanks for a very beautiful and moving poem JADE Pleased you have Faith that your GDAD is now in a better place and that one day you will be reunited in the GLORY ! GDADS are very very precious (and GMUMS) and we only really appreciate and really miss them when they are in Glory. In many countries extended Families lived close to each other and Children saw their GParents every day. Today with increased mobility in the UK children are brought up 100's of miles away from their Gparents and in the USA it can be 2 or 3 thousands of miles apart. Thanks for caring & sharing ~ Yours BRIAN

A lovely heartfelt sentimental poem to yor grandad. My paternal gdad died befor my birth and my maternal gdad died recently so I could relate to the feel here. U wrote it so nicely, recalling memories of him sweetly. Thumbs up.

Pls do comment out my latest poem too. I'm a new poet here but have been writing poetry since years and readers enjoyed it elsewhere or got sth from it until I found this site and wish to make new poem pals.
