Slam Poem :written by a genderqueer in love
I never thought that someone could truly undestand me ,to fully accept me ,yet complete me in an extrordinarily beautiful way but i guess what I first anticipated was wrong
In a place where I felt so trapped in my own mind,I didn't realise because the darkness I was enclosed in for so long somehow kept me from finding them ,that person being " the one" who rescued me from my invisible prison of loneliness
Now that place is one I wish to never ever have to enter again. It's dark ,very dark ,unexplainable ,it's a lonely place which nobody should have to be imprisoned in ; darkness .
I sought comfort and that's what they provided ,an escape from my once dark corner, which is now lit with the beaming light of freedom and happiness .Butterflies were unchained just in the presence of them .
How one person could help me in so many ways is amazing the feeling of happiness projected from my radiant glow, that feeling was love .An authentic love ,a love that I had never experienced before .
