PTSD 2

Tony36

A simple walk in the woods

Is a problem for me

I constantly think there is

Someone hiding  behind the

Trees

Bushes

Rock piles

Or hiding in every riverbed

I know these thoughts

Are just flashbacks

I know these thoughts

Are not real

Part of me however

Want to lash out

At every ghost I see

The memories

The pain

Still run fresh

People tell me

The war is over

Maybe so

But

Mentally

Emotionally

Those scares will never

Truly heal

Those scares will

Always hunt me

Problem is TONY ~ The experiences one has in a WAR ZONE can never be eradicated. And the WW2 Vets in the UK ~ tell me they haunt the 24/7 and for ever. One neighbour said when he helped his mate to stand up he split in two and died on the spot. YOU NEVER FORGET SOMETHING LIKE THAT ! Can you do me a favour DARK SUN has written a Fusion Poem ~ can you add a Stanza to encourage her ? Thanks BRIAN
