Take my hand and lead me into that immeasurable blackness
Wherever you are, there I’ll be.
Nothing could penetrate the space between our interlaced fingers
Not the moon, nor the sun; not all the beasts in the sky, nor the ones that lurk in the deep, could rid you of my everlasting love
Because the blood that spills from the delicate incisions on your upper left forearm gets all over me, permeates my skin, and sinks into my veins
I’ve tasted your sadness and sickness and all of your darkest thoughts
All of your tears have pooled into the sunken-ness of my chest, weighing me down until I’m nothing more than a soft place for you to sleep
But that’s okay
Rest against me, love
Wrap me around your neck and take me wherever you go
You might be slipping back into the shadows, but this time you will not go alone
When your head is weary, and your soul is tired, I will stand in your place
Hide in me; let my bones shield you from your demons
I will stretch and expand until I'm big enough to cover all of you
I will guard you from that which is against you, and I will not leave you when you are scared
Take this truth and let it comfort you-
Wherever you are, there I’ll be.
