Gone right

SilverXball

Tell me what could I do?

To make it all better?

Don't know what I did

But I'm writin this letter

From me to you

What did I do?

I thought I made

Your wishes come true.

I'll lie here forever

Deathly and broken

Scars were formed

By all the words spoken

What did you mean?

Let sleeping dogs lie?

Did I dig too far?

That why I'm saying goodbye?

No explanation

No real reason

Ripped out my heart

It's a crime, it's called treason

Were you in for a thrill?

You just knew the drill

One easy step, go in for the kill

Did you feel anything, yet... still?

This is harder me than it is for you

Is this what it's like to take whip and beating?

No whispered words, no simple goodbye

Out cold on the floor, skin stripped and bleeding

This could have got better

The scars could be healed

But so you have a wish

It's already been sealed

A deal with the devil

A dance in the night

One shining blade

You didn't win the fight

Did you go for my freedom

You letting me go?

Were you tying me down?

You made it drip slow

I'll finish this up

Until then have a good night

But I'll still wonder

What could have gone right?

Thanks SILVER for a beautifully written poem (full of rhyme nd rhythm) but with a very sad sad content. There are always two sides (I've been on both) to an ended love affair. One (usually just walks away) the other (like you) lies bleeding and broken. My experience tells me its not the end ~ you are young beautiful and I am praying you will live and love again. Thanks for sharing I trust you found writing it cathartic. Thinking of you and praying for you. ~ Yours BRIAN
