Projection

Doll in Wonderland

I didn't see

That you were there, hiding beneath

The white sheet I so carefully hung

To project my love onto

Like watercolors on canvas

Colors bleed into me

Hope dancing before my eyes

On the screen of my own making

You wrapped my sheet around yourself

Save and warm and dry

And I didn't see

How empty your heart really was

All take and no give

All you project are shadows and darkness

And when you took enough from me

You threw the sheet on the ground

And the reel ran out of film

When you left I cried.

Ohhhh DOLL ~ this is so sad that a beautiful young lady like you should be used by a man and then tossed aside like a rag Doll. You are too precious for that ! Thanks for sharing ~ Thinking of you ~ love you BRIAN Please check my latest poem TOGETHERNESS ~ Thanks BRIAN
