The plague

Codeman6311

Don't play with a heart,

you will cause much grief.

Even if the moment's brief,

that man has broken apart.

I gave you all I had,

now I am sad.

You used to call me hun,

but it looks like I'm done.

You said you didn't want me

now I can plainly see.

my friends were right,

I don't need your light.

At first it was vague,

but now I've realized you're a plague.

WELCOME CODEMAN ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ elegant in style replete with Rhyme & Rhythm easy to read and recite. The content is something we all experience ~ the Agony & Ecstasy of LOVE. I'm 33 and still not married because like you I find imperfections in my relationships with Ladies even when (like you) I have given all I had. I have many female friends and some are generous with their favours to sustain both our libidos ! I hope one day (soon ?) to meat some who ticks all my boxes and vice-versa ~ hope springs eternal ........... THANKS for caring and sharing ~ BRIAN # Please check my latest poem COLORS OF AUTUMN ~ Thanks B
