I'm glad that you're gone, I'm mad that you're sad
How dare you feel hurt, tossing what we had
This isn't you, that wasn't me
You left me alone, you wanted me to plea
You thought I'd fall, you thought I'd cry
You must have forgotten you told me goodbye
And for a second, I thought you were right...
I thought I would fail, I lost all my fight
I fell on my face, I cried all day long
I'd forgotten somehow, that I was strong
But here stand, stronger than before
A smile on my face, cause I finally closed that door
The light is off, the room is locked
I stored it away and keep it blocked
Someday I'll think of you, with a smile on my face
But for now, the box stays locked in its place

- Comment from author about the poem: This was a long time coming for me, I needed to step back and breath for a second before collecting my thoughts. I feel this could help others get past their hurt, cause love is a fun and frightful thing. We've all been struck, and scared from it, but there comes a time we need to stand tall again and realize that was just a small chapter of our lives.
