Football season is now underway,
It's time to watch and cheer,
While we have our friends over,
We'll all have a beer.
Your favorite team goes out on the field,
With the opponent not far behind,
They also cheer as their team appears,
But we don't really mind.
So enjoy this time of year,
While you watch them throw the ball,
Because a new season is finally here,
Let's welcome in the fall.

HI POET ~ Thanks for sharing. FOOTBALL in England is a religion and the fans are more loyal to their team than they are to their wives ! We are on a high tonight because England have beaten Slovakia 1 to NIL in Slovakia. LALLANA got the goal for England in the 95th minute (5 minutes of injury time).
