*Honest Reflection* A Poem Written By Emily Eaton
I view only what I can see in the honest reflection,
All I see are blemishes, dark marks and imperfections.
People say your beautiful, just the way you are,
but all I see in the mirror is a beat up avatar.
I take a closer look of myself in the honest reflection,
I see my baggy under eyes and my destroyed complexion.
I only want to look like everyone else in world you see,
instead looking like a mess up character like me.
But people tell me it's not about the way you look outside,
If we all looked perfect, we would look too modified.
Now love yourself for who you are and break that honest reflection,
cause you are beautiful no matter how you view your imperfections.

My poems are really not that good but I really enjoy writing them from my heart and soul anyways. WELCOME EMILY ~ Lovely first poem in STRUCTURE (love rhyming couplets) and SUBJECT ~ mirror images. I 'm glad you realise what you see in the mirror is not really you ~ left is right and right is left anyway ! Love the final couplet !
