Waiting Game

Waiting Game

Here I am again. Sitting in a dark corner of a dark room where darkness rests in the mind of myself and I.

The smell of lavender candles... once a comfort... now a curse...

So close our minds intertwine in the depth of our sadness; yet so far from reach

Desperation screams through the dry tears of night

Time. Time is what starves us.

Unknowing of the challenges we face.

Time is what changes us.

Time is the cause of our never ending pain.

Love is no longer a friend, but an enemy.

The long road of happiness has ended

And now I sit here waiting...

Waiting for time to tell what will become of ... us ... you...

WELCOME SD Thanks for your first poem ~ elegant and so full of pathos. Sadness ~ desperation ~ pain. Crying over lost and unrequited love. More please ~ BRIAN
