WHAT'S YOUR FAVE VEGETABLE & WHY ?

Love your Veggies dietitians say
Eat them raw ~ and get your five each day
Full of vitamins and fibre
Keep you sleek and active like a Tiger
Veggies are so easy for you to grow
Plant the seeds and soon the shoots will show
Keep them weeded ~ you will need a Hoe
And protect then from the frost and snow !
What is my favourite Veg you ask
To answer that's a gastronomic task !
A sprout's a sprout ~ a spud's a spud
And mushrooms grow freely in the wood !
So keep your seeds ~ and feed them to the parrots
My favourite veg by far are always carrots
The reason I like carrots Honey ?
Because they make me frisky as a BUNNY !

I love to cook so I use a lot of veggies
onions are ones I use the most
For their taste and aroma
Peppers are another fave
Rather they be sweet
Or quite spicy
Cooking is in my blood

P OTATOES are so versitile boiled or roast
O r chips ~ peel em then cut em into strips
T hen after that ~ fry em in really deep hot fat !
A real hot packet ~ is a spud cooked in its jacket
T he way to make some cash ~ is not making mash
O ne spud will make two large bags of crisps
E ach one sells for two dollars 1000 percent profit
S o sell your spuds as crisps ~ someones sure to scoff it !

There is question of semantics between the UK and the USA
What you call French Fries ~ we call Chips. What you call
Chips we call Crisps ~ this leads to misunderstanding and
even fights ! The other thing is cost. In WENDYs (USA)
A JACKET POTATO with chili is ONE DOLLAR in the UK
in a Garden Centre it can cost over FIVE DOLLARS. If you
visit the UK enjoy the People & Scenery but DONT EAT !

Potatoes are a gem
They can be used in so many ways
Mashed
Fried
Backed
It does not matter
How they are used
It's all good
Potatos are an all around veggie to have around

A CAULIFLOWER is an awesome veg
Cooked al dente it has the edge
Over most other veggies that I know
To keep it firm you cook it slow !
Better that beans ~ better than peas
Serve with a white sauce and cheddar cheese
Try othe veggies at your folly
Nothing really beats a CAULI !
