Gift, of life so sweet

Reivax Camlost

To satisfy a hungry heart

Take leave, of life's long street

There, ward against the evils known

Pervasive in humanity

There, walk along the path that's shown

A path we could not see

To satisfy, in the weeping-dark

A heart, had somewhere seen

The promise of some serenity

Erased, by life with a graying sheen

Give gift of love, with lilting words

Of things, both soft and sweet

And, as we weep, stand aside and watch

One ray of sunshine beam

Be warmed by light, of hope at last

And the truth will set you free

    Nice word arrangement

      thanks.

My inspiration was the song "Gift of finest wheat".

Doesn't matter if you're Christian or not, it's a beautiful song.

Anyway, the poem is non-religious, it's just about overcoming life's struggles, and how every time we think life is sad, we just have to look for the sunshine behind the clouds.

The truth will set us free, no matter what it may be, no matter what we say or see, the truth will set us free.
