Darkness is the place I lay

coryjarbeau

As i sit here in this dark room.
My emotions run wild
While i am sit still
not a movement
Not even a word
Can set me free from
This darknees

Almost as if i am being chained
Strapped down against my own will
Everyday forced to take a pill
That will some day set me free
From this darkness

People take shot out of a glass
To release the inner pain
The drink can not relieve it
It just drowns it so it has an after life
Even after the pain is gone deep
Down inside of you its there
Its there in all of us

It eats us alive
Like termites on wood
Fire inside your viens
Just because you cant feel it
Doesn't mean you cant keep it from showing up again
