Acceptance

Glitterbrook73

Acceptance is the end of a long and painful journey,

taking us through a spectrum of emotions; denial, anger, regret, guilt, despair and regret.

What is most important is what led us to theses emotions in the first place; compassion, empathy, frustration and soul crushing love.

If we have completed this cycle of emotions, we know we have done all we can.

Letting go is the kindest thing for everyone. We have fought and lost but what is left is everlasting love and the beauty of acceptance.

WELCOME GLITTER ~ Thanks for a very personal first poem. I'm 33 and we all learn something from each relationship we have. My Philosophy is "Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" That seems to also sum up Moving on with acceptance is the best way ! Thanks for caring ~ Yours BRIAN

Thanks for commenting on my writing. I have held off from it for so long as I find it painful but think its probably the best therapy for me right now. I hope to contribute more soon.

I have wasted so much time in my life holding grudges. Nicely done.

Thank you Augustus. Agreed, holding grudges eats away at your soul. I am only just learning to respond to difficult situations with kindness, but it is not easy.
