TEAM WORK ~ MAKES THE DREAM WORK

I n Society we are all dependent on each other

N obody can live independently because 

T odays Society is very integrated

E verybody contibutes their bit to life ~ I

R eflect on the part I play in the Community ~ I

D ecided to teach Applied Science in a College

E very day I enjoy what I do !  Other

P eople grow food ~ produce electricity etc

E very thing I need ~ to live day by day !

N obody is an Island ~ we all interact.

D issability makes us more dependent ~ and

E ach Athlete participating at the Rio Paralympics 

N eeded help to get to BRAZIL ~ but each

C ompetitor had to perform as an INDIVIDUAL

E ach one contributing their expertise to the TEAM

    Personally I have great respect for every Athlete who hase performed at the RIO 2016 PARALYMPIC GAMES. They all want to medal ~ but just being there and participating is more important ! They have a whole range of disabilities so the blind compete with the blind etc. I have great admiration for those who compete in WHEELCHAIRS ~ Tennis ~ Basketball ~ Rugby etc ~ AWESOME ! Thanks for reading and commenting ~ BRIAN

      Thanks SWEETHEART ~ leased you liked it. The Psychology and in particular the Sociology of INTERDEPENDENCE is very interesting and in an Urban Society each of us becomes dependent on hundreds of others each day,. I liked to camp when I was younger and trecking in the mountains mostly under 1000 meters in the UK. Carrying everything and relying on stream water etc ! Love & Hugs BRIAN

      Unfortunate that the para olimpics does not get much attention. I agree about the interdependency. However, as you point out some of us take that to a higher level than others, given the same opportunity. Clever poem with great message. Thanks.

        Thanks "A" poeple don't always realise that PARA stands fro parallel and not paraplegic ! The PARALYMPICS could run at the same time as the OLYMPICS but the logistics are difficult because the Paralympics make unique organisational demands. Pleased you enjoyed the poem. Yours BRIAN

              Thanks NO ~ In the UK we are very very proud of our PARALYMPIANS ~ they have overcome great personal difficulties and setbacks to make TEAM GB. The medals we have won fade into oblivion compared with their bravery. I am thrilled that the NATIONAL LOTTERY and the Country gives them the opportunity to trian and the will to compete ~ Yours BRIAN
