Home- my first poem

azeem22

Home is where your life starts.

Where you had your first laugh

Your first bath. Your first path

on life

Where your family reside.

Home is where you’ve had some pains.

Scratches and grazes. The place where you act crazy.

You had your first heart break.

Waiting for that one way

Out.

You’ve tried to shout,

But help never came without

A helping hand whom which you had no doubt

Could help you sprout

It came from home.

Home is where you grew

Matured and threw

Out your bad habits to make it through

Life’s tough times and try

Your best at everything you do.

Home is where you brought your love

She came to you, like a dove,

Majestic and beautiful she loved

you like no other could’ve

Until there was another

A child so dear to your precious heart

Your daughter, you saw in her eyes stars

Wide eyes of imagination ,  huge scopes

You named her hope

Home is where you grew old

Time was reaching its extent

You wished it wasn’t yet

But eventually it came

You remembered all the good times you had when playing this game

All the bad times full of pain

But you never regretted a thing

Because you had everything

You wanted, a family, friends and a daughter

You would not change a thing as you could see the horizon.

And on your death bed on which you lay

Your wife supporting you all the way,

With your daughter on hand you looked up and swayed

You began to fade.

Home is your jade.
