You

poetryfornow

When I felt like I was a fish in a tank

when I knew that i was walking the plank

Despite my facade, you saw through it all

You held me back before long fall.

Because you were there

You would care

And now I hear your call

When I grew sick of everything bad being clapped

And when time passed and it all went black

When I stopped thinking of what I had but what I lacked

When days slipped by yet they had no impact

You were there

You would care

And now I want you back

You tied me down and wouldn't let me go

When I was screaming and the worlds spin began to slow

When my hearts beat was forced and would no longer flow

you were there

You would care

But where did you go?

WELCOME PFN ~ Thanks for an intriguing first poem ! It is well written replete with rhyme and rhythm ~ which makes it cool to read and recite ! When we are down for (whatever reason) we all need someone to to be there and care. If they "go away" we are devastated and very sad and alone, Every BLESSING ~ BRIAN Please check my poems ~ THANKS B
