As I sit in

chair,

my pulse is

racing through

my veins

pushing and pulling on

the shiny and bronze

crest,

as the marching melody

grooves and pledges

through me,

as someone hears my cries,

echoing in the morning.

Shit I've never

thought I was

would want

to be brave,

honored,

or respected.

But

I am,

I AM.

Because I

LOVE ME.

I do this is all for me

me..

me.

for

you

you, you

we

we, we

are more than

just two

we are now one

combined of two

struggling two be one.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I really love this poem. This poem is very special to me because of the fact it came from a special time in my life, that I also hated. But it taught me that I can do everything that I set my mind to it. However, the ending of the story didn't pan out that that way, but this poem still gives me motivation.

THANKS JIMMIE ~ Great poem ~ great message ! The GOOD BOOK says "It is only when we love and respect ourselves ~ that we can begin to love OTHERS" This is not a paradox it is the TRUTH. Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN
