So Many Uses

Augustus

So Many Uses

It's for shipping, moving, storing,

Carrying out the mowing,

Fire kindling, hauling and bringing;

We all join in singing

For the income source for some-

Having so much fun

Sliding a downhill sled or catching

The oil spill, if you will-

Play hide and seek,

From out it peek-

Throughout childhood this favored toy,

Turned sleeping mat to enjoy-

Finding some in the garage,

Another a collage or Halloween disguise-

Before you deliver in it kittens

Or "warm woolen mittens"

To the homeless guy to live in-

Winter den for a fox.

You guessed it. I pen

For the simple cardboard box.

BEAUTIFUL POEM "A" ~ as penned and as recited ! When I was kid (30 years ago) I always had lots of fun with an empty cardboard box. It was anything I wanted it to be and it had zero electronics and technically it cost my Mum nothing. I could even hide in it in my own little dream world ~ awesome. Tragedy is kids don't just play with cardboard boxes any more ~ THEY LIVE IN THEM ! Thanks for caring and sharing ~ BRIAN Please check my poem MOUNTAIN STREAM ~ Thanks B
